Hiking

Our purpose is to enjoy and promote hiking in the Coachella Valley and beyond, in a spirit of friendship and camaraderie. We have over 500 members from all walks of life. When you visit the Palm Springs area join us for a hike to enjoy the desert spirit. We offer 4-6 easy, moderate or strenuous hikes each week. Our hikes are led by experienced volunteer hike leaders. From the desert trails to the mountains, you will discover a variety of great hikes.

The Coachella Valley Hiking Club offers guided hikes on Wednesday mornings, Saturday and Sunday every week, and frequently on other week days. We have hikes for all hiking abilities--easy, moderate and strenuous, from 3-4 miles with no elevation gain to 10 miles with 8000' elevation gain.

Half or full-day custom hikes with difficulty ranging from easy to moderate/strenuous. You can "bag a peak" on any of the nearby mountains or walk the washes out to magnificent rock formations. Kids welcome.
